Two words I remember from the Halo 2 hype. Dusl. Weilding.
Released in 2004, Halo 2 continued the saga of Spartan Master Cheif Petty Officer John-117. And oh my word, what a game!
Anyone who played this on legendary will know my pain and frustration, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Not quite a direct continuation of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 starts us getting a lovely new set of armour and then almost immediately stress testing it as the Prophet of Regret appears out of nowhere following a lead on forerunner tech.
Regret didn't know Earth was the human home world which is why the fleet was small, the UNSC fights them off heroically but Regret slips through, parking above Kenya (which is a red zone for Covie ships of course). John-117, Along with the bad ass marine Sergeant Major Avery Johnson, move out to take on Regret's carrier. (Halo ODST, as you know, begins around this time).
And if all that wasn't enough awesome for you, you can also play as The Arbiter, Thel Vadamee. Holy crap on a stick, you can play as a dual wielding spilt lip bad ass who can cloak.
I just need a moment to compose myself here. *panting*
Ten years later the anniversary edition was released, it's so damn good looking, the music is epic and my god Cortana is beautifully rendered!
Anyway I'm rambling, please share your own experiences!
Thanks for listening, have a nice day!
